Meeting of minds behind acquisition

YORKSHIRE acquisitions vehicle Pennine Holdings has bought a software and meeting space firm.

Pennine, based in Sheffield, said there was a strong potential market for the technology of Business Careware, designed to make meeting space and facilities management easier and more cost- effective. The Oxfordshire firm's clients include accountants, lawyers, entertainment and financial services companies as well as universities and local authorities.

Matt Blyden, Pennine's director of marketing and business development, said: "We have explored the market where this type of software is used and firmly believe that most organisations are still 'making do' with systems which aren't really up to the job. There are lots of opportunities for organisations of all types to get smarter with their meetings and use of space."
