Mexican wave for telecoms provider

America Movil has adopted Mobile Tornado’s IPRS (Internet Protocol Radio Service) platform and will initially launch the service in Mexico and Brazil.

Based on Push To Talk technology, IPRS enables enhanced IP-based instant communication services.

Push to Talk uses the power of next generation networks and handsets to provide a new user interface that bypasses traditional half-duplex voice prompts.

It simplifies registry to the service, message access and management and increases the appeal and functionality of immediate communications.

With IPRS, subscribers can see their contacts’ presence status and location.
