Mumtaz to create hundreds of jobs in HQ plan
FROM modest beginnings, Mumtaz Food Industries has grown to become one of the UK’s biggest Asian food manufacturers.
According to its website, fans of Mumtaz include Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, boxer Amir Khan and actress Dawn French.
It created more than 100 jobs in Leeds, when it opened a large restaurant in Clarence Dock three years ago.

Hide AdAt the time, Mumtaz Khan, the company’s chairman, said that Bradford had always been the backbone of its business.
However, over the years, the company had realised that the brand needed a presence in Leeds, because it was the financial centre of the north, Mr Khan told the Yorkshire Post.
