New base for chartered accountants
Shorts Chartered Accountants, which was founded 120 years ago, has relocated its head office to new, 8,000 sq ft premises in Ashgate Road, Chesterfield. Working capital support was provided by Yorkshire Bank’s business and private banking centre in Sheffield.
Shorts Chartered Accountants, founded by Samuel Edward Short in 1890, also has an office on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, where 12 staff and two partners are based.

Hide AdThe firm’s new two-storey premises in Chesterfield is the base for six partners and 46 staff. This follows the relocation of the firm from three separate locations in the town.
Paul Beeson, senior partner at Shorts Chartered Accountants, said: “We are extremely pleased and proud of our new headquarters. We feel that we now have a building that reflects the efficiency and focus of Shorts today.”
The firm provides business and private client services in North Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
