New committee aims to be the voice of media business in city

LEEDS Media has unveiled a new steering committee as it gears up for expansion. The committee, made up of industry professionals from across the city, has set out to re-establish Leeds Media as a "focal point and voice" for media businesses.

Leeds Media, which merged with Leeds Chamber in 2008, wants to highlight the depth of creative talent in Yorkshire.

Gary McCall, the chairman of Leeds Media, said: "We feel it is important to reassess the Leeds Media position and our offering. To reflect the changing needs of our members and the dynamic nature of our industry, we thought it was time to re-invent the steering committee. We have recruited from a wide range of specialist areas, with a bias towards PR and Digital, reflecting the communication needs of our membership.
