New MD for robotics group

AN organisation which helps to boost the use of robotics in the food and drink industry has appointed a new managing director.

Doncaster-based CenFRA has taken on Ian Nicholls who has been involved in the food and drink sector for almost 40 years.

He was previously chief executive of Allied Bakeries and is a member of the Institute of Management Consultancy.

His principal role will be to raise the company’s profile by promoting its project support and management services for the food and drink manufacturing sector, which include technology audits, computer factory simulation and machine design capabilities.
