New retail park in North Yorkshire to create 1,000 jobs

More than 1,000 jobs are set to be created with a new retail and leisure centre in North Yorkshire.

The Scotch Corner Designer Village will open in Autumn 2021 and bring up to 92 fashion brands to the region, including Tommy Hilfiger, BOSS, Calvin Klein, Adidas and Levi’s; high-street brands such as Gap, Clarks, Moss Bros, Mint Velvet, Brook Taverner, Joules, Regatta and Skechers; and a number of independent labels and local designers.

It will offer food retailers, including Wagamama and Five Guys.

Specially designed leisure and sporting facilities are in the pipeline and will be unveiled over the coming months.

Simon Waterfield, developer and co-owner of Scotch Corner Richmond LLP, said: “Scotch Corner Designer Village is an incredibly exciting project.

"Community is also at the heart of our vision and we look forward to creating some 330 jobs during construction and more than 1,000 permanent new jobs once we open.”
