No sweat as Betty goes to Torque again

SWEATY Betty is blooming with a little help from a Yorkshire-based logistics firm.

The women’s sports clothing retailer, which has 32 UK boutiques, including concessions in Selfridges and Harrods, relies on Leeds-based Torque to stay ahead of the competition.

Sweaty Betty, which started using Torque in 2007, has re-appointed the firm for another five years.

Torque supports Sweaty Betty’s retail and e-commerce business, servicing stores and web orders to the UK, Europe and the US. The supplier provides a full service. It imports goods, provides storage facilities and operates a returns processing service.

Torque also delivers a ‘pick and pack’ service for Sweaty Betty.

Stewart Firth, a director of Torque, said yesterday: “The fact we’ve played some small part in the company’s ever-growing success is testament to a shared commitment to service and mutual respect for each other’s expertise.”

Torque’s turnover is £60m and it has 591 staff based at its facilities in Leeds and Brad- ford.
