The Grade A office building, which has a total 127,731 sq ft of space, is already occupied by BNY Mellon, Cobbetts, Dickinson Dees and Grant Thornton.

Richard Thornton, director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s office agency team, said: “This letting to Mackenzie Stuart is the culmination of a very successful marketing campaign which has taken full advantage of occupier preference for prime grade A offices.

“Over the course of 2012, some 45 per cent of space transacted in the city centre has been for Grade A offices including the subletting of 17,000 sq ft at No1 Whitehall Riverside by Dickinson Dees from BNY Mellon.”

David Hidderley, investment fund Surveyor at NFU Mutual, added: “The Dickinson Dees letting, which was one of the larger deals seen in Leeds’ city core last year, followed by the arrival of Mackenzie Stuart is testament to just how attractive and successful No 1 Whitehall Riverside has been.”

No 1 Whitehall Riverside, which provides office accommodation over eight floors, was acquired by NFU Mutual in 2010.

Mackenzie Stuart has moved from 15/16 Park Row in Leeds.
