Offices tailored to flexible letting

THE largest refurbished office building in Leeds so far this year is to be launched next month.

Hepworth Point, formerly known as Hepworth House, on Clay Pit Lane, includes 44,607 sq ft of office space over 10 floors.

The building, which will be launched on April 8, was named after tailors J Hepworth and Son who were originally based on the site in 1864.

Developer Bruntwood bought the building in 2006 and let it to Leeds Metropolitan University's architecture, landscape and design department. Following the school's recent relocation to new premises at Broadcasting Place, several floors within Hepworth Point have been refurbished and are now available to occupy with quoting rents in the region of 15 per sq ft.

Joint marketing agents are Knight Frank, DTZ and WSB. Ed Harrowsmith, of Knight Frank in Leeds, said: "This is the biggest refurbished office building to come to the market in Leeds this year and, with Bruntwood's flexible approach to lettings, we are expecting a high level of interest."
