Online shop window for craft retailers

Nick Reavill, a former Discovery Channel software designer, has launched the Super Simple Shop with business partner David Shapero.

It has been developed to offer retailers a cost-effective way to sell online and is aimed at independent traders and craft and hobbyist retailers. They can build a website to showcase their products and will get help and advice on making the most of their online presence.

Mr Reavill, who splits his time between York and Newcastle, said: "The online retail market provides a huge opportunity for increasing sales and generating new customers but there are plenty of people out there who have not ventured into this arena or not maximised the opportunities that are available.

"By looking particularly at specialist and niche retailers, we believe we've developed a product which will appeal as it's not only affordable – with packages starting at just 10 per month – but is very easy to use."
