Orchard picks three staff for associate director roles

UTILITY management specialist the Orchard Group, based in Elland, has promoted three key staff to associate director roles.

Gareth Henderson, managing director, said the appointments were the latest in a series of organisational changes designed to support growth and bolster the senior management team.

Kath Henderson, who joined Orchard Energy as an account manager in 2006 and has since been involved in HR and training, takes on the role of associate HR director with responsibility for recruitment and staff development. Ian Dickinson, who joined Orchard Energy four years ago, has been appointed to the role of associate sales director on the renewals and retention side of the business.

Colette Costello joined Orchard as part of the pricing team in 2010 and has helped to develop the company’s bureau services division, which handles energy supplier queries and invoice validation. She has been appointed associate operations director.

Elsewhere, Michael Morse, partner and employment law specialist at Yorkshire-based law firm Chadwick Lawrence, has been appointed as legal director for the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, an organisation of materials and service providers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers in the local garment industry.

Leeds-based investment manager Myddleton Croft has appointed James Bowles, who joins from Savoy Investment Management. He will oversee the North East region. Also joining the team is Nick Partington, who joins from an independent financial advisory business in North Wales where he ran his own practice. He will be responsible for business in the North West region.

The Leeds office of CBRE has appointed Amy Scales as senior surveyor within its property and asset management team. She joins from DTZ.

Leeds law firm Clarion has promoted Jonathan Simms to partner. He joined in 2002 as a trainee; he qualified in 2004 and was promoted to senior associate two years ago. He has spent the last 11 years in the corporate team and has developed a reputation for dealing with corporate transactional and banking work for both businesses and institutional funders.
