Pair join board of fleet optimisation specialist FMG

FLEET optimisation specialist FMG has made two key appointments to its board.

Ben Creswick joins as business development director, whilst Harvey Stead re-joins FMG as sales director, having previously worked at the Huddersfield firm until 2008.

Mr Creswick spent 10 years at Zenith, a leasing, fleet management and vehicle outsourcing business near Leeds. Mr Stead re-joins the business, having held senior positions at Close Motor Finance and Lex Autolease.

Clugston Group, a Scunthorpe-headquartered construction, logistics and property company, has appointed Andrew Walker as a non-executive director.

A partner at DWF, Mr Walker is also a steering committee member of Leeds Financial Services Initiative, a partnership organisation to support businesses working in the financial and professional services sector in Leeds.

In the legal sector, Ward Hadaway has promoted healthcare associate Liz Hackett to the position of partner. She has worked in the field of healthcare since qualification, undertaking defendant clinical negligence claims and inquests on behalf of NHS trusts and medical defence organisations. She joined Ward Hadaway’s healthcare team in 2010 and is based at the firm’s Leeds office.

The specialist commercial team at Leeds-based Clarion is growing with the addition of Linzi Sutton as associate. She completed a two-year training contract with Eversheds in September last year before becoming an associate in the commercial team.

Law firm Watson Burton, which has offices in Leeds, has welcomed lawyer Gavin Winter into its partnership.

Mr Winter is a specialist commercial litigator with more than 16 years’ experience in the field.

Accountancy firm Garbutt & Elliott has appointed computer specialist Hilary Dyson to strengthen their IT and client service teams in York and Leeds. She has joined from Peterborough-based PS Financials.
