“It also reinforces our position as Europe’s largest network for the express distribution of palletised goods.”

She said the group is offering smaller, more flexible consignment sizes in the new service.

The group’s network is made up of more than 300 depots and twelve hubs in 13 countries across Europe. Its distribution network is made up of independent transport companies which share resources to deliver small consignments of palletised freight.

Palletways, founded in 1994, has regional hubs in London, Leeds and Edin- burgh.
