Paragon buys assets of label firm

PARAGON print and packaging yesterday announced that it had bought the assets of the Sessions of York label business for an undisclosed sum.

Sessions of York, which specialises in the supply of self-adhesive products in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, personal care and household markets, was placed into administration on April 21.

In a statement, Paragon said: "On Thursday, April 22, Paragon Print and Packaging was made aware of the opportunity to purchase the assets of the business for the first time. Since then, negotiations with the administrator have been successfully concluded."

The completion of the asset purchase is part of the Paragon Group's strategy to move into new market sectors.
