Newburgh is a contract manufacturer for high specification component parts and assemblies.

David Greenan, the managing director of Newburgh, said: “Advanced engineering is a very vibrant industry but we find it difficult to recruit the skilled workers that we need.

“We are committed to raising the profile of advanced engineering, and the interesting and rewarding careers that this sector offers.

“Working with the UTC Sheffield will help us to address those challenges, and ensure that young people are work ready, and gain a more rounded education, so that we can address the skills shortages and generate more growth in advanced engineer- ing.”
