The perfect package to support employers

Chadwick Lawrence has a long history of supporting SMEs in the region – working to support and advise on legal matters to help business owners focus on their core objectives.

As one of Yorkshire's leading experts in employment law, five years ago the company identified an opportunity to package its support for the SME market. The Employer Support Pack (ESP) was launched, with the international cutting-tool distributor, Dewsbury-based Cutwel Limited, being the first company to sign up.

It is package aimed at companies that do not have a requirement for a full-time HR department, or as a bolt-on to an existing HR department.

ESP provides legal help, support and representation, as and when necessary, for employers.

Clients have the peace of mind that a qualified employment lawyer is always at the end of the phone and up to date with the latest legislation.

The scheme includes the drafting of all necessary documentation, such as contracts, handbooks, disciplinary warnings and letters, along with ongoing guidance and support.

All insurance is properly underwritten and all the client has to do is follow the guidance of the ESP team.

Chadwick Lawrence was recently joined by Cutwel Limited in celebrating the fifth year of ESP.

Paul Hawksworth, of Cutwel, said: "I would recommend ESP to any business owners or directors. It's helped us keep all our employment requirements in order and give us the confidence that all the necessary policies and procedures are in place.

"The scheme also provides employees with the satisfaction that 'this employer' knows and carries out his legal responsibilities, making the company a safer and more harmonious place to work."

Neil Wilson, of Chadwick Lawrence, added: "Cutwel is an excellent example of how ESP can help a business. It relieves the burden of employment law and allows our clients to focus on their core business."
