Picking up a 10-year challenge

A 10-YEAR campaign to improve the standing of women within the co-operative sector is to be launched at a national conference today.

The Co-operative Women’s Challenge 2020 aims to achieve fair representation in the Co-operative’s democratic structure, ensure there are more women in senior management roles and encourage women to campaign for gender equality.

The Challenge is being launched at the Queens Hotel in Leeds with more than 300 delegates attending.

Speakers include PR practitioner Lynne Franks who was the founder of SEED, which provides women’s learning and coaching programmes.
