Plusnet adds to team with new director of customer experience

PAUL Summers has joined phone and broadband provider Plusnet in the role of director of customer experience and operations.

Mr Summers came to Sheffield-based Plusnet from O2 where he was head of operations for the company’s consumer business arm, leading teams in Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow.

Prior to O2, Paul worked for British Gas for nine years in a variety of roles.

Elsewhere, Leeds-based property investment and development company Town Centre Securities, which owns the city’s Merrion Centre, has appointed Susan Mendoza as the new centre manager.

She was previously centre manager at the Trinity Walk Shopping Centre in Wakefield, which opened in May 2011. She has worked in the shopping centre industry for more than 15 years.

Meanwhile, law firm Walker Morris, which is based in Leeds, has boosted its real estate group with three new appointments. Jane Stark, joins the group as an associate having previously worked in the real estate group of the London office of US firm Latham & Watkins.

She has been involved in a number of notable deals in her career including advising Qatar Holding LLC on its acquisition of the Harrods Group and advising on the bond issue and refinancing of Manchester United Football Club.

Adam Reed and Thomas Jackson both trained with Walker Morris and recently qualified into the real estate group.

And accountancy firm Saffery Champness has strengthened its landed estates group with the appointment of Mick Downs. As inheritance tax specialist, he will be based across its Harrogate and London offices.

Mr Downs joins the firm from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), where for almost 20 years he was their technical specialist with responsibility for inheritance tax reliefs for National Heritage property, before retiring last year.
