Print consultancy aims to help firms get the most for their money

TWO entrepreneurs have launched a business that helps other companies to put together cost-effective marketing campaigns.

Allan Smith and Michael Jackson have established Trust,

a print consultancy business, which is based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

Mr Smith, who had worked as a representative for print houses across the country, decided to go it alone because he felt there was a gap in the market for a print consultancy, rather than simply a print buying and management firm.

Mr Smith said: "In the current climate, creatives and marketeers are required to be much more frugal. They need extra assurance and guidance when it comes to marketing spend. That is where Trust come in. We have extensive experience and relationships with leading suppliers.

"It's all about trusted relationships rather than simply a means to an end."

Mr Smith added: "Many companies go direct to printers instead of using print management companies as some feel they focus too much on price without taking time to understand the needs of the project. As a consultancy we feel we can offer both. We only work with leading suppliers who, like ourselves, never compromise on quality."

Mr Jackson said: "The launch process has been exciting and we have been having some great feedback."

In recent months, Trust has been working with a number of clients across the North of England, including Shape, an adaptation specialists firm which helps elderly and disabled people.
