‘Prized’ hotel on market for £1m

A CITY centre hotel has been put on the market with a price tag of around £1m.

Cutlers Hotel, on George Street in Sheffield, is the principal asset of its owner and operator Meridius, which went into administration last month due to ‘unsustainable pressure on the cash-flow of the company under its previous financial structure’. Administrators at FRP Advisory appointed Colliers International to sell the three-star, 45 bedroom hotel, which is part of the Best Western Group.

Joint administrator Phil Pierce said: “The Best Western Cutlers Hotel is a prized asset at the heart of Sheffield City centre.”
