Procurement firm moves to new home

Leeds-based Science Warehouse, which provides procurement services to a wide variety of sectors, has expanded its business by moving into a new home.

The company, which employs 30 staff, has marked its 10th anniversary by moving from its old base in The Roundhouse on Wellington Road, Leeds, to the Half Roundhouse, which is on the same road.

Steve Kerridge, the managing director of Science Warehouse, said: “We are delighted with our new offices. We were looking for high quality offices with a bit of character – the Half Roundhouse fits the bill perfectly with its history dating back to the mid 19th century when it was used by the Leeds and Thirsk Railway Company for the repair and maintenance of locomotives.

“It’s almost three times the size of our previous office and gives us plenty of scope to support our ongoing expansion and with some of the original building features still intact, it provides a great environment both for our staff as well as visiting customers.”

Jonathan Betts, the sales and marketing director at Science Warehouse, said: “The Government spending review will be high on the agenda in 2011 for public and private sector organisations, with cost savings more important than ever. Science Warehouse’s services take business intelligence to the next level.”
