Programme to get you ready to do business

BUDDING entrepreneurs can pick up tips about how to set up a business under a new scheme.

Ready for Business is a three-year Government-funded programme which is backed by the Regional Growth Fund.

Supporters of the scheme include Bradford Chamber, which has around 1,100 members.

Paul Shelton, project manager of the new Ready for Business initiative, said: “It’s called Ready for Business because that is exactly what it does – it gets you finance ready and focused to start your business.

“If you’ve got an idea of working for yourself and want to get going, all you have to do is attend a free one-day workshop that delivers intensive training on the basics.

“The workshop literally covers everything from choosing a name to registering for VAT.

“At the end of it, the would-be business owners are primed and ready to choose their next step.”

All bookings are taken via Bradford Chamber of Commerce. For further information contact Joseph Kovacs on 01274 770472.
