Prospect hunts new premises

SERVICED office provider Prospect Business Centres has appointed CB Richard Ellis to help source suitable buildings to enable national expansion.

The move follows a year of significant growth for the business and will allow the company to open up five new centres in 2011. It says the partnership with CB Richard Ellis should halve the time taken by the sourcing and negotiation process to around three months.

Charlie Cudworth, managing director of Prospect Business Centres, said: "We have been very busy looking for the right buildings across the country to become our next serviced office centres, and we have already found some, but we have chosen to partner with CB Richard Ellis to manage the sourcing and initial vetting process."

The company already operates two centres in Leeds, totalling 42,000 sq ft, including the region's first centre that dates back to 1980, as well as a 15,000 sq ft centre in York that opened in autumn 2009.

Jonathan Shires, director of office agency at CB Richard Ellis in Leeds, who is leading the building procurement project, said: "Typically the client needs to see high-quality, well-positioned buildings that can provide between 20,000 and 25,000 sq ft of space and there are a number of such available buildings in the present climate.

Prospect Business Centres is part of Monument Investments Holdings, the Leeds-based property investment group

that also includes other commercial property ventures
