£8.4m in sales at auction by Eddisons

COMMERCIAL property agent Eddisons generated sales worth £8.4m with a three-day property auction.

It sold 83 of the 105 lots at its sale in Leeds, Manchester and London.

Highlights included Grove Villas, a former day care centre on Cardigan Road in Headingley, Leeds, which sold for £545,000 off a guide price of £500,000 plus.

Meanwhile, the former Pennington Place hostel in the Woodhouse area of Leeds, which had been offered on the instructions of Leeds City Council, sold for £335,000. In Bradford, the former Northern Pump Suppliers premises on Bowling Back Lane which extends to over 6,800 sq ft sold for £180,000, off a guide of £120,000 plus.

Tony Webber, of Eddisons, said: “Buyers came in big numbers and were clearly in the mood to invest. The results underline the fact that regardless of the time of year, the right stock at the right price is a winning formula and is too good for investors to miss.”
