Putting on the style makes flats desirable

A BLOCK of flats has achieved full occupancy for the first time after receiving a facelift.

Apartments at City Island in Leeds which had been empty for two years, were styled for the lettings market with interior design and furniture packs from Leeds-based Julian Maurice Developments.

Originally commissioned to style just 12 of the 180 apartments, the team completed all 180 apartments and everyone is occupied.

Managing director Julian Maurice said: "The developers at City Island have witnessed how room styling gives soul and depth to the apartments and makes them much more desirable than bland flats that are all kitted out the same with no thought to colour, textures and shape."

Nichola Davies, of Mayfair Developments, the developers of City Island added: "Agents and tenants were all really impressed with the furniture packs."
