What are the prospects for the property sector in Yorkshire and the Humber?

With the prevailing macro-economic climate and a host of one-off events and celebrations, I believe that the next few months will be really quite challenging.  However, I don’t think we should be too pessimistic and I see an upswing in sentiment through the autumn and into next year.

What is the best project in which you have been involved?

Without a doubt it has to be the development of Inspire Bradford. The £4m scheme is one of the largest straw bale developments in Europe and contains a host of innovative and sustainable technologies.

What is your favourite building and why?

It has to be The Corn Exchange in Leeds. I was involved in the building survey of the property for the current owners and subsequently involved in remodelling the building prior to the latest refurbishment. 

If you could change one thing to improve the property industry in this region, what would it be?

I would increase the profile of the Yorkshire region on the international stage.
