Recovery specialist named as the new regional chairman of R3

A BUSINESS recovery specialist based in Leeds has been appointed regional chair of the trade body for insolvency professionals, R3.

Bradford-born Robert Adamson, partner at accountancy firm Mazars, has been a member of R3 for more than 20 years and spent the last two years serving as vice chair alongside his predecessor, Andrew Walker.

In his new role, Mr Adamson will be responsible for raising the profile of the work of R3 and its 300 members in the region.

The Leeds office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell has boosted its business legal services team within Yorkshire and across the North with the appointment of construction and engineering partner, Steven Bate. He joins from DWF in Leeds where he was a partner heading up its Yorkshire construction team.

Meanwhile, the northern office of asset management company Citivale has appointed Peter Evans as asset manager. He joins the team from Ashtenne where he gained experience working on multi-let assets in both the Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire regions. He will specialise in asset management with a remit to grow the business across the North of England and Scotland.

James Appleton-Metcalfe, managing director of Citivale, said the business, which has just hit £65m under management, has outgrown its current offices in Leeds and will be moving to a larger office at the beginning of July.

South Yorkshire-based ink specialist Diamond Dispersions has appointed Dr Vicky Verona as head chemist. Dr Verona, who has a PhD in Ink Transfer Mechanisms in Flexographic Printing, has spent more than a decade working in the industry with firms such as Sun Chemical as a technologist, and Vivimed Labs as an applications chemist.

Cleckheaton-based Ferno, a supplier and manufacturer of medical equipment to the emergency services and funeral sector, has appointed Steve Brown to its supply chain team as senior buyer. He has held similar roles with firms such as VTL Precision and Crosslee.
