Refurbishment almost complete at industrial estate

A YORKSHIRE industrial estate is undergoing the final phase of its transformation as work progresses on a three-year refurbishment programme which is worth almost £1m.

Milshaw Park, in Leeds, is undergoing a 950,000 refurbishment led by the building consultancy team at CB Richard Ellis in Leeds.

The firm was instructed by Millshaw Property Company, a joint venture between Evans Property Group and Land Securities, in March 2007.

The project includes the refurbishment of 11 industrial and warehouse units, totalling 220,000 sq ft, at the large multi-let industrial estate which is located just off the Beeston ring road.

This final 300,000 phase of works will be completed by the remaining two units, which total circa 92,000sq ft of industrial and warehousing space.

CBRE's asset management team will manage Millshaw Park which is currently home to some 23 tenants including HSBC, Unichem and Stanley Tools. The estate is about 480,000 sq ft in total.

Nick Twigg, associate director at CBRE, said: "Work is now under way on the final unit which will be completed this month. Millshaw Park is an important development within the city due to its key location and sheer scale. The comprehensive refurbishment programme has transformed the accommodation into modern, adaptable space, ensuring the park's continued success."
