Sky and Sony Pictures team up to give viewers more choice

Sky and Sony Pictures Television have agreed a new, long term partnership in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland to give Sky customers access to all new and future Sony Pictures Entertainment feature film releases.

These will include recent blockbusters such as Jumanji: The Next Level, Little Women, Bad Boys For Life and the sequel Peter Rabbit 2, which will all be available on Sky Cinema.

Customers will also be able to watch new family animation from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Vivo, and Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters films, Venom 2 and Morbius.

The two firms will also make the titles available on all of Sky’s transactional services across all its markets. This will include Sky Store and Sky Primafila, as well as streaming services NOW TV, Sky Ticket, Sky Show and Sky X, giving customers access to content live and on demand.

The new partnership will also include Sony Pictures Entertainment’s extensive feature film library, offering films such as Hotel Transylvania, Ghostbusters, Karate Kid and the Spider-Man franchises.

In the UK, the partnership will include the new show, For Life (which will premiere on Sky Witness), and future Sony Pictures Television series renewals for Sky Entertainment with the next seasons of returning hits Blacklist, The Good Doctor & S.W.A.T.
