Smart takes Lawyer of Year award

Mr Smart, of Walker Morris in Leeds, was chosen in recognition of nearly 30 years' experience in the corporate finance sector and his expertise in managing large deals.

Over 300 lawyers gathered at the Queens Hotel in Leeds for the event, organised by Barker Brooks. As part of the 10-year anniversary celebrations a special Yorkshire Lawyer of the Decade award was presented to Neil McClean of DLA Piper.

Other award winners included, Best Solicitors, Schofield Sweeney, Hammonds, Walker Morris, Addleshaw Goddard, Thornton Jones Family Law, Stewarts Law, Premier Farnell, Caroline Castle of Hammonds, Ros Harwood of Dickinson Dees, Laura Craig of Irwin Mitchell, Jill Eddison of Best Solicitors and Scarborough Council.
