Software group aims to extend its global reach after move to new HQ

A SOFTWARE company has moved into larger premises as part of its expansion plans.

Colin Liversedge, managing director of vrSoftware, now based at Newby Hall, near Ripon, started the business from his home in North Yorkshire in 2003, with its core product, Mockshop, which allows retailers to merchandise their stores online in an interactive 3D model. The firm has customers in over 30 countries, including Calvin Klein, Nike, Macy’s and Tommy Hilfiger.

The company, which sells through partners, achieved a turnover of around £1m last financial year with a net profit of around 18 per cent. Mr Liversedge added: “We expect to double our sales in the next financial year to £2.2m and we expect our coverage in terms of countries to increase to 50.”

The company employs 10 people in the UK, and eight in its Romanian office. Mr Liversedge said he expects to take on an additional four to eight people in the UK over the next year. Thanks to investment by two investors, totalling £200,000, at the start of this year, the company was able to move into its new premises.

Mr Liversedge added: “We are going to get a lot more of our products on to the cloud and running on things like iPads and Android tablets.”
