The Leeds-based firm was acquired by Insight, a Bolton-based claims investigations business for the insurance and legal sectors, which is part of the ExamWorks group of companies.
AGS, which has invested heavily in technology this year, provides fraud and financial crime investigations services for clients across a number of sectors including insurance companies, banks and law firms.
The acquisition also includes the purchase of iValidate, a provider of conversation management based in Gatwick.
Gordon Healiss, managing director of Insight, which has 100 employees, said: “This is an exciting new development for our business, and one which underlines our commitment to diversification and expanding our portfolio of services to target markets.
“AGS has an excellent mixture of products and personnel, many of whom are household names in the fraud and financial crime investigations sector. We look forward to supporting their continued growth and success as part of the ExamWorks family.”
Mark Wilcox, chief executive of AGS Risk Solutions, added: “We are very proud to be joining the ExamWorks family and I am confident that alongside Insight, AGS will be able to continue growing its services, helping customers reduce risk and minimise the impact of fraud and financial crime.
“Having invested a substantial amount in technology, data and personnel, particularly in the past twelve months, AGS’ expertise blends extremely well with the Insight offering.”
