What was your first job?

Thanks to my early involvement with our family architecture studio, I breathed in the dust of a construction site before I can remember even starting as a junior assistant.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?

I would probably pursue a career as a pilot.

What was your worst mistake?

I have made many but the worst are those associated with errors of judgement about people.

What is your ideal day away from the office?

I really like sightseeing and one of my favourite places to visit is the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with.

The architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.

What was your best subject at school?

Art and design.

What are your hobbies?

Flying light aircraft and travelling are among my favourites.

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

I would increase the time for hobbies and family holidays.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Plan and do the most difficult task first.

What is your favourite item of clothing?

Denim and shirt.

What’s your favourite time of the day?

I usually get up around 5am and I love the quiet start and the prospect of a full day with all it has to offer

What is the best thing about Yorkshire?

There is much of Yorkshire that reminds me of my native Italy (apart from the weather) and I have met some of the most welcoming and genuine people.

What would your epitaph be?

He never stopped trying to give his best to anything life offered.
