What’s the worst mistake you’ve ever made?
Having the potential to be a professional footballer. As a junior the worst mistake I ever made was not going to Tottenham Hotspur to train for a week. I’d started a £30 a week job at Revell and didn’t want to let them down.
What’s your ideal day away from the office?
Playing golf somewhere nice and warm. I love the sporting element of recreation time.
Name one person you’d like to have dinner with and why?
My wife. It would be good to spend some quality time together for once.
What was your best subject at school?
Maths. I took the O-Level a year early.
