What was your first job?

I washed caravans in a showroom.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?

Paraplanning and Financial Services has been my career choice and I’ve stuck with it.

What was your worst mistake?

I have a gift for putting my foot in it, so I am sure I have managed to say the wrong thing at the wrong time to a few people over the years.

What’s your ideal day away from the office?

A family trip combined with a grand prix.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?

When I was little I always had my nose in a book.

My favourites were the books of Roald Dahl; he had such an amazing imagina- tion.

What was your best subject at school?

I adored English.

What are your hobbies?

I love spending time with the kids and my husband.

What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Nothing. For at least two weeks.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

My husband bought me a Barbour last year for Christmas.

What’s your favourite time of day?

I do love waking up, feeling refreshed.

What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?

Coming home and, of course, the puddings.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

She spread a little sunshine.
