What was your first job?

Paperboy.

If not in your current job what would you like to do?

An imaginary role in Leeds that empowers me to innovate and lead change, bringing people together to establish a new proactive partnership culture.

What was your worst mistake?

Buying an Volvo XC90 which I thought I could hand back after two years but when I turned up at the garage the salesman had left and I’d signed an HP agreement and couldn’t return it and the car had halved in value... a very expensive mistake!

What is your ideal day away from the office?

Pottering round Skipton with my wife Sarah children and Rex G our Bulldog Mastiff mentor (the Dogfather).

Name one person you would most like to have had dinner with.

The Don – Don Revie.

What were your best subjects at school?

None really, but loved what was then Polytechnic in Stoke where successful people from industry taught us business studies.

What are your hobbies?

Leeds Leeds Leeds!

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

Doing more of what I do, investing money as well as time in making our city the best for all.

Early morning.

Old leather jacket.

What is the best thing about being in Yorkshire?

Everything.

What would your epitaph be?

Loved the journey, my family, friends, my home in Skipton my beloved Leeds, couldn’t have been better ... a Yorkshire Utopia.
