I like people and property and I would love to own and run a boutique hotel.

A visit to the gym or a run followed by a regular de-briefing session in the Coach and Horses on West Park.

Wear a large grin, make the family comfortable, contribute to St Michael's Hospice and go very quiet.

What's your favourite time of the day and why?

First thing in the morning, before the telephone starts ringing.

What is your favourite garment?

My Boden leisure pants – signifying "down time".

What is the best thing about Yorkshire?

No nonsense folk and the north- east coast.
