What was your first job?

An economist. It definitely seemed like a good idea at the time.

If you weren't in your present position, what would you be doing?

Spending the weekends living a luxurious lifestyle with friends and family, having made millions from a career in investment banking.

What was your worst mistake?

Not going into investment banking.

Describe your ideal day away from the office?

Getting together with a group of mates from the Blacksmiths Arms, Newton on Ouse, to watch a Test match at Headingley. And leaving my Blackberry at home.

Name the person you would most like to have dinner with?

Stephen Fry. He'd probably scare me to death, but I'd learn a lot and laugh a lot. He also shares my passion for cricket.

What was your best subject at school?

Maths. It would have come in handy in banking. Although it's also pretty useful for what I do at Kanjo – finance is just as important in advertising as any other business.

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

Take my wife to Claridges for the weekend and to Tiffany's for some serious jewellery shopping, followed by a holiday with the boys to help me recover.

What's your top time-saving tip?

When it all gets too much, just delete your email inbox. You can get so much more done. Only Joking. Write daily task lists and follow them in order, no matter how unappealing the job may be. This way everything gets done not just the easy tasks.

What's your favourite time of day and why?

9.30pm on Fridays. First pint of the weekend with friends John and Richard – the perfect chance to solve all the world's problems.

What is your favourite item of clothing?

Hunter wellies – great for walking the dogs and jumping in large puddles.

What is the best thing about Yorkshire?

The banter – it gets you through even the toughest of days.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

He had a sense of humour.
