What was your first job?

Working for the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine in Gottingen, Germany to try and discover a cure for narcolepsy.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?

I’d like to think I’d be a famous TV chef.

What was your worst mistake?

I should have realised the value of building my support and mentoring network sooner. It might have given me the opportunities I am getting now with Reward a lot earlier in my career.

What’s your ideal day away from the office?

A long walk from home in Oxenhope to Hebden Bridge, up over the moors, stopping for late lunch and a few glasses of wine and then catching the bus home.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?

Hillary Clinton. I bet she’s got some fantastic stories to tell.

What was your best subject at school?

French.

What are your hobbies?

Running, skiing, walking the dog and cooking.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Buy a ski chalet in Chamonix.

What is your favourite item of clothing?

Got to be my raincoat living in Yorkshire – certainly couldn’t manage without it.

What’s your favourite time of day?

Well, I struggle getting up in a morning and I usually go to bed about 10pm, so it would definitely have to be the middle of the day.

What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?

The people and the beautiful walks.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

She lived, laughed, had fun and enjoyed life to the full.
