On the Spot with Katrina Bagshaw

What was your first job?

I was a waitress at Massarellas, which used to be at Meadowhall. I was 15 and used to love working on the counter because I got to make pretty desserts.

If you were not in your present job what would you like to do?

I'd love to be a dance teacher, or something fitness related.

What would be your ideal day away from the office?

Probably involve a mixture of paintballing, followed by a bit of a pamper session, then getting ready to go out for a nice meal.

Name the one person you would most like to have dinner with?

Audrey Hepburn. She's my icon. She's the biggest style icon ever and represents classic chic.

What was your best subject at school?

I was really good at French, I just took to it really easily.

What are your hobbies?

I like travelling, and reading anything about psychology and the brain. I also have a keen interest in cars and drive a BMW Z3, my little toy car.

What is your favourite garment?

Shoes, shoes and more shoes.

What political, legal, economic or sporting event would you most like to see in your lifetime?

A re-run of the 1966 World Cup.

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

I would pay for my mother's barn conversion to be completed and ensure all my family were sorted financially. I'd also give some money to two local Sheffield charities – Neurocare and City Hearts. Then I'd go on holiday – with my other half, of course.

What is the best thing about being in business in Yorkshire?

No day is ever the same. We have great values, great industries and great ways of forward thinking.

What was your worst mistake?

I think not going backpacking when I had the opportunity when I was 18.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Have your email closed whenever you're working on an important document so you're not distracted, and plan ahead.

What is your favourite time of day?

I'm a night owl, because the night time feels alive and I love the stars in the sky – it's time to party.

Katrina Bagshaw, always lived life to the maximum.
