What was your first job?

Riding racehorses for my father, Pat Rohan, in Malton, North Yorkshire.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?

Polishing my Olympic gold medal!

What was your worst mistake?

What’s your ideal day away from the office?

Being at the beach hut on the Coble Landing in Filey Bay with the family, big picnic, sailing, boarding, swimming, beach cricket and the glorious sunny weather we had this summer.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?

Ivan Lendl. He has been through so much in his playing and coaching career and I think what Team Andy Murray has achieved is fantastic. It has been wonderful to watch him get to his aim of Wimbledon champion.

What was your best subject at school?

Geography.

What are your hobbies?

Endurance sports and I am currently learning to sail. I also spend a lot of time enjoying watching my three girls at their own activities – swimming, hockey, tennis, guitar and sailing. Lydia, the youngest, also shows a love of ponies, which is my heritage, so that will be interesting.

What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Spend the rest of my life giving it away.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

My skiing kit – because if I’m wearing it, it means I’m on my favourite holiday!

What’s your favourite time of day?

First light in the morning... especially if you’ve slept under a canopy of trees in a wood – the light and noise are amazing then.

What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?

The Wolds – they just make you want to get out and enjoy them whether running, cycling, riding or walking.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

Only boring people are bored!
