What was your first job?

Working for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Exam Board checking exam papers to ensure the marks had been added up correctly.

If not in your present job, what would you like to do?

I’d like to do something that would involve travelling in warm countries.

What was your worst mistake?

I managed to fill our diesel car with unleaded fuel.

What would be your ideal day away from the office?

A morning spent wandering around the Sunday market in Pollensa Old Town, Mallorca, followed by a large bottle of chilled white wine with lots of calamari, fresh prawns and salad, finished off by a snooze on a lounger next to the pool.

Name one person you would most like to have dinner with?

Jamie Oliver. I love his enthusiasm.

What was your best subject at school?

Geography.

What are your hobbies?

I dabble with running.

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

Buy a property in Pollensa, Mallorca.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Make a list of what you need to do.

What is your favourite time of the day and why?

Saturday morning. A little bit of a lie-in and none of the pressure of running my day around the school run.

What is your favourite garment?

A lovely fuschia Boden clutch bag.

What is the best thing about being in Yorkshire?

The diverse range of Yorkshire produce.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

A loving mum and devoted wife. She was a good lass.
