What was your first job?

A Saturday job in a local shop.

If you weren’t in your present post, what would you be doing?

I dream about being a gardener or making curtains but then I soon remember that I love what I do.

What was your worst mistake?

I don’t believe in dwelling on the past.

What’s your ideal day away from the office?

A lie in with coffee and papers in bed followed by a lazy walk in the sunshine with family and dinner with friends.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?

I’d choose my husband or closest friend.

What was your best subject at school?

I was probably best at art.

What are your hobbies?

Until I suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury I was slightly obsessed by running.

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

I would never like to give up my work but would definitely allow myself more time off.

What’s your top time-saving tip?

Never touch a piece of paper twice.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

A bright cardigan in a fantastic aquamarine colour.

What’s your favourite time of day?

Early in the morning before anyone else is awake.

What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?

People are much friendlier and approachable.

What would you like to be your epitaph?

Loyal friend and passionate lawyer who successfully empowered vulnerable people, helping them through the most difficult times in their lives.
