What was your first job?

Collecting trolleys at my local Safeway supermarket, not the most interesting of jobs but the pay was good.

If not in your present job, what would you like to do?

I would love to become a Member of Parliament, bringing common sense business practices to Westminster.

What was your worst mistake?

Selling my first house to release capital. At the time I needed the money but looking back I could have made four times as much if I had held on.

What would your ideal day be away from the office?

Spending time with my three boys, although it can be tiring.

Following Manchester City

What would you do if you won the National Lottery?

Not tell anyone, and give a lot away to good causes.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Get a PA. Honestly, if you can afford one the benefits are immense.

What is your favourite time of day and why?

First thing in the morning, I like the business of the office and resolving all of the issues that have cropped up.

What is your favourite garment?

I don't have one.

What is the best thing about being in Yorkshire?

The space and the people.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

He loved the Lord with all his heart and all his soul and with all his mind.
