What was your first job?

I worked in my local Waitrose on the deli counter.

If not in your present job, what would you like to do?

I’ve always been intrigued in war reporting and would have loved to be a photographer amongst the action.

What was your worst mistake?

Sledging – without snow... it’s a long story that’s probably best not to go into right now!

What would your ideal day be away from the office?

I’d want to be somewhere exotic having a long walk along a beautiful sandy beach, in the company of my husband, Jason, and our two children.

Name the one person you would most like to have dinner with?

I’m lucky and get to do this every evening. My husband, as he’s an amazing chef!

What was your best subject at school?

My favourite lesson was PE.

What are your hobbies?

Mountaineering allows me to see the whole landscape both in our striking countryside and when travelling across the globe.

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

I’d have to buy a house in Sydney.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Delegate, delegate, delegate.

What is your favourite time of day and why?

Beer o’clock… why? See what time it is! Often the time to call it a day!

What is your favourite garment?

A girl’s best friend is not always a diamond but a gorgeous Mulberry handbag!

Getting the warmest Yorkshire welcome from strangers.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

She lived every minute as if it was her last.
