What was your first job?

Waitress in my local pub. I was 16 and worked evenings, weekends and school holidays.

If not in your present job, what would you like to do?

I wish I had trained as a vet. I already have a science degree so could easily sign up and retrain, however, a young family to look after is now my main job!

What was your worst mistake?

Accepting a previous job, I won’t disclose where! Hindsight is wonderful.

What would your ideal day be away from the office?

A long walk with the dogs in the Dales followed by a lazy lunch in a country pub.

Name the one person you would most like to have dinner with.

My husband, soppy but true!

What was your best subject at school?

Classics, I really enjoyed learning the ancient history and epic stories!

What are your hobbies?

Running and reading. The first exercises my body, the second exercises my mind

What would you do if you won the Lotto?

Retire to the Dales and live the life of a semi-recluse.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Using a slow cooker. Coming home to the smell of the dinner cooking is just wonderful.

What is your favourite time of day and why?

Dinnertime, it is when the family sits down together for a catch up on the day.

What is your favourite garment?

My old university t-shirt.

What is the best thing about being in Yorkshire?

It’s my home and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Yorkshire has everything we could wish for – and more!

What would you like your epitaph to be?

It was the salmon mousse!
