Stockbroker's revenue rising

STOCKBROKER Charles Stanley said yesterday that third-quarter revenue was up 5.2 per cent at £28.4m.

The group, which has an office in Leeds, said its business

has "continued to show resilience in what remain difficult trading conditions".

Total funds under investment management or administration rose by 4.3 per cent, from 11.6bn at September 30, to 12.1bn at December 31.

The group has strengthened the business with selective hires and said it is "well positioned across all its divisions should the economic recovery prove sustained".

The board is recommending a second interim dividend of 5p.
