Straight plc confident on full year expectations
Straight plc has continued to see high demand for its environmental products and services and its order book remains at record levels, the Leeds-based company said today.
James Newman, the chairman, said ahead of today's AGM that the Straight's retail business is now making a positive contribution to the group, thanks to the contract win in April to supply compost bins to a purchasing organisation. "(Retail] sales are currently higher than in 2009," said Mr Newman.
He added: "The integration of the Helesi UK business, which the group acquired in March 2010, is progressing well and to schedule. As a result of the continued progress being made throughout the group, the board is confident that its expectations for the full year will be met."
