Success on menu for pudding firm

A Yorkshire pudding business strongly increased the amount of stock it supplies to Sainsbury after help with its sales strategy from a Ripon accountant.

Just Puds, set up in 1999 by Rosemary and Graeme Robinson as part of a farm diversification to create home-made puddings, saw its Sainsbury listing rise from 29 to 250 stores.

It came after Stuart Baldwin, of Abacus 155, carried out a business performance review.

Mrs Robinson said: "We realised that we were entering an economic downturn and needed clear strategic direction to grow the business. Twelve months since Stuart's appointment, the business now has a clear strategic plan and real support in implementing it."

Just Puds, based near Masham, went on to improve its product range in Waitrose and launch in Booths, the regional food and drink retailer.
